The Art Gallery “101”

Vytautas Magnus University Art Gallery “101” is an inter-academic space that fosters connective processes of contemporary art and applies diverse strategies: educational, visual, performative, and (practice-based) research-oriented. The gallery presents works by Lithuanian and international artists through solo and group exhibitions, as well as other formats characteristic of contemporaneity. The gallery’s conceptual directions are contemporaneity, performativity, education, and mediation.

Every autumn, the gallery announces an open call for proposals from those wishing to organize or participate in exhibitions curated by the gallery; applications for events are also accepted on a rolling basis. Gallery “101” is closed in July and August. The gallery continuously invites participation on a volunteer basis or through academic internships.
