Student Festival “Linksminkimos” 2025: Opening Concert
On November 7–9, the student folk music festival “Linksminkimos” will take place in Vilnius, featuring performances by student song and dance ensembles, dance groups, folk music bands, and folk instrument orchestras from Lithuanian higher education institutions.
Bringing together five hundred singing, dancing, and music-making students from universities and colleges across Lithuania, the event will begin on November 7 at 6 p.m. at the Vytautas Magnus University Education Academy. The opening concert will be dedicated to folk songs and instrumental music, with performances by student ensemble choirs and folk music bands.
The festival “Linksminkimos”, which celebrates folk songs, dances, and instrumental traditions, is organized by the Lithuanian National Culture Centre. Rooted in the traditions of folk music ensembles, it shares its spirit and ideas with the international student song and dance festival “Gaudeamus.”
