VMU Academic choir “Vivere Cantus”

Academic Choir “Vivere Cantus“ was established in Vytautas Magnus university in 2015. Young, vital and musical, this mixed-gender Choir invites all the academic community – students, graduates and lecturers to join and sing together. The Choir was established in order to promote arts of choir, to unify young specialists of various spheres and to represent the University in Lithuanian and international events. Recently, the Choir is an active participant of events that are held in the University and Kaunas city. Thanks to the enthusiastic members of the Choir, they are ambitious to become one of the most appreciated Choirs of Lithuanian Universities. During this short period of time Choir has already participated in a few significant concerts: Inauguration Ceremony of the Rector, “Ad Lux” event of VMU Faculty of Arts, XII Lithuanian Universities Student Choir Festival, international festival “Cantate Domino”, “V2” event which was organized by VMU Students representative Council, International Psychologists’ Conference and Lithuanian Song Festival in Kaunas.

At the moment Choir consists of 40 active members from the following faculties: Arts, Social Sciences, Political Sciences and Diplomacy, Natural Sciences, Informatics, Music Academy, Humanities.
